Park Volcano Barú
This park in cloudforest on the slopes of volcano Barú (peak at 3475 m) is close to the border with Costa Rica. In six hours one can walk from Cerro Punta to Boquete, situated at 1060 m altitude in a region of coffeeplantations, flowerculture (orchids) and citrusfruit. The photos give an impression of the vegetation. Leavemarkings are often seen with bromeliads in this type of habitat, most strikingly in the young plants.
In Boquete pictures were taken of Tillandsia oerstediana and the omnipresent Tillandsia fasciculata
