The region of Puyo and Baños
The road which connects these towns gives good views over the valley of the Rio Pastaza and alongside it many bromeliads are growing. The illustrations depict species from locations in this region: Aechmea abbreviata (right), Barfussia platyrhachys (below left) and Pitcairnia hitchcockiana (below right).
Below are presented Guzmania multiflora and Aechmea retusa.
Still further below are Tillandsia biflora and Tillandsia schimperiana followed by Guzmania weberbaueri, Tillandsia tequendamae and Tillandsia incurva and at the bottom row Guzmania acuminata and Puya glomerifera.
