The Sierra Maestra
The Sierra Maestra is the highest and longest mountainrange in Cuba and Pico Turquino is with 1972 meters the highest point. The mountains are almost completely forested and not easyly accessible because there are few roads.
On the pictures one can see Tillandsia fasciculata var. clavispica, very widespread on the island, and Tillandsia variabilis.
