Valle de Viñales
This vally is located in the province of Pinar del Río and famous for its steep limestone rocks called "mogotes". On the slopes of these grow several species of bromeliads, amongst them one of two endemic Tillandsia's, Tillandsia praschekii (the other being Tillandsia turqienensis from the Sierra Maestra). The images here depict some other species, Tillandsia capitata. On the rockface one can also see the only Aechmea-species on Cuba, Aechmea nudicaulis.
