Foz do Iguaçu


The falls in the river Iguaçu on the border between Brazil and Argentina are extending over almost 3 km. Together with the large nature reserve in both countries they were declared by UNESCO as a world heritage.
In this humid and warm environment bromeliads are found, illustrated here are the epiphytic species Aechmea distichantha, Aechmea bromeliifolia and Aechmea recurvata. The tarantula is an inhabitant of bromeliads.
